JOHN SCHEINFELD: Director/Writer

Emmy®, Grammy® and Writers Guild Award nominee and Telly Award-winner John Scheinfeld is a respected documentary filmmaker who brings a broad spectrum of experiences and interests to pop culture, music, historical and spiritual projects for theatrical exhibition, cable and broadcast television.  He has directed and written this Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Thanksgiving Day Special on IHYD about how one extraordinary song has transformed people’s lives.   John is the writer/director of the acclaimed 'U.S. vs. John Lennon' film as well as the "Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?" him bio documentary. The Nilsson piece is a star-studded film about one of the most talented and un compromising singer-songwriters in pop music history, which played in theaters across the country. This film, for which Scheinfeld was nominated for a prestigious Writers Guild Award...and for which USA Today named him one of the Top 100 Pop Culture People of 2010was, like the John Lennon piece,  released throughout the world to great response.

Proffer also has a meaningful history of producing socially conscious events and enterprises, which have both charitable as well as commercial components.

Spencer is a highly regarded media/music producer and strategist with a long history of connecting with audiences. His productions and those he has been closely involved with have garnered Academy, Golden Globe, Emmy, Grammy and Tony awards and nominations, and as music producer, Spencer has sold millions of gold and platinum records.  As a Music Director/ Supervisor, he had handled over 135+ films/television project in a proactive, hands-on capacity for most of the key motion picture studios and major broadcast television networks.
